Rewards
At Whitworth Park Academy, we believe that every child deserves to be recognised and celebrated for their achievements, efforts and positive contributions to school life. Our Proud to be Diamond reward system is designed to encourage children to strive for excellence, demonstrate our school values and take pride in being part of our academy community.
Children can earn Diamond Points on a daily, weekly and termly basis. These points recognise a wide range of achievements and contributions, including:
- Academic effort and progress
- Positive behaviour and attitudes to learning
- Contributions to the school community
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrating our core values of diligence, kindness and respect
As points accumulate throughout the year, children become eligible for a variety of rewards and recognition opportunities. This helps to motivate children, build confidence and celebrate success across all areas of school life.
How We Celebrate Success

- Half-termly prize draws
- Weekly achievement point recognition
- Celebration through newsletters and social media
- Positive communication home
- Recognition in assemblies
- Departmental and pastoral rewards throughout the year

The Proud to be Diamond programme helps create a positive culture where effort, achievement and personal growth are valued and celebrated by the whole school community.
Parents or carers who would like specific information regarding their child’s achievement or behaviour should contact their child’s Head of Year in the first instance.
