All children at KS4 continue their study of RE through two key mediums, although there are no specific timetabled RE lessons, curriculum coverage is ensured and secured.

  • Firstly, through bespoke ‘drop down’ days, which focus on key issues of morality and ethics and allows children to explore key issues and social/cultural dilemmas through the lens of religious and non-religious world views.
  • Secondly, through clear and specific strands in the tutor time and Personal Development programme, theological and social issues in RE are covered up until the end of KS4.

Should you wish for your child not to study RE, all parents have the right to remove their child from the study of RE. If you wish to do so, or wish to discuss this, please contact Ms S Brooker (Head of RE).
