At Whitworth Park Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, supported and empowered to succeed. Our pastoral team:
- Has the highest expectations of every child, promoting excellent attendance, positive behaviour and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Provides a personalised approach to support, recognising individual needs and ensuring that barriers to learning, wellbeing and success are identified and addressed early.
- Places children’s wellbeing and character development at the heart of everything we do, helping them to develop resilience, confidence, independence and self-worth.
- Ensures that children learn in an atmosphere of mutual support where they feel happy, safe and secure, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
- Supports children to make informed choices that reflect our values of Kindness, Diligence and Respect, preparing them to become active, responsible citizens.
- Builds strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies, ensuring that children receive effective and coordinated support when it is needed most.
- Listens to and values children’s voices, ensuring they know where to seek help and feel confident that their concerns will be heard and acted upon.
- Uses robust systems, monitoring and early intervention strategies to identify emerging needs, provide timely support and secure positive outcomes for all children.
